Jayne and I went to the big town that is closest from here. I think the name is Keddiminister. I drove Lil’s car. I asked if she wanted to come but she said no. I would have felt better if she came along as she knows the way. Instead she gave us directions. Her directions led up to most of the way there but she must have forgotten one turn.
We had a lot of things to do in town. First we had to get our money back from the juicer we bought as Jayne said that the basket doesn’t come off. So we don’t want something that you can clean, that’s for sure!
We came across a health food store where we bought some things. We looked for a sweater for me but found nothing.
We had coffee in Marks and Spencer, we got something to eat in a bakery (a potato sandwich and a vegetable sandwich and ate it out side.
We got back to the car we saw a notice on it that we were in a paid parking lot. It looks like we might get a ticket. Jayne didn’t see the sign and I didn’t. They did have a sign but we were so concerned about finding where the stores were and how to get there from where we parked.
It looks like Lil will get a ticket. Jayne will have to find out how much it is.
What I don’t like about the pay parking situation is, that unless you see the few scatter signs you would think you were in a public parking lot. After all, it was in front of a big store. The other stores around have a free parking lot. And there was no both as you entered to pay for the parking area we were in. There was no gate that control entrance. If they had that, people would see that it was a paid parking area.
When we left we were looking on how to get to the main road next to the parking lot. There was a one-way sign from this road. So, taking another road we could find how to get to the main one. As a result we didn’t know what direction were going in. Driving along, Jayne didn’t know what town was near where we needed to go. We simply got lost. So, retracing our route I stopped in a service state where we bought a map (Lil didn’t have one in the car). Then got on the road that leads to where we live.
I’d say we must have wasted at least one hour driving.
Finally, we got home safely. However, it was a stressful ride.
