Bought a Digital Camera

Monday June 1

Jayne and I went to Murry Hill by bus. She needs to go to bank and I need to buy a digital camera.

The ride cost us 4.60 pounds for both of us and it took about 40 minutes to go there.
When we first went there we stoped by a 'pound shop' where they sell everything for 1 pound.Then had a cup of coffee.

We were in many shops, and finally found a shop that had a good selection of digital cameras. It was hard to make a decision as I wanted a video camera, too. We decided to buy a good digital camera that takes video, too. It's not the best for videos but at least I can take them. The camera I bought is a Canon Power Shot SX200 IS. This cost 318 pounds with a 8GB memory stick (this was extra). It takes 12MB pixil photos. I can get 2,400 pictures or take 48 minutes of video. Natually, I will not keep all the photos on the memory stick as if the camera is lost or stolen there goes all the pictures.

Then we bought some summer clothes at a store that had low prices. This will be used when we are in Spain and Cyprus.

We never did get to the bank. I asked Jayne if she wanted to go to the bank as it was getting late and she said she'll go tomorrow and do the business in Kinniminster. She wanted to do all the shoping first. So, it looks like we'll be out tomorrow.

We got home about 5pm.

The ride by bus in a lot more than in Ecuador, but if we had to go to Quito we usually take a taxi. If we were in Quito the taxi is more than the bus fare plus we don't have to put up with all the smell we'd get from the buses that are ahead of us. Plus the bus drivers are better than any taxi driver in Ecuador.

At home, Jayne mentioned that we can take a ferry from Wales to Ireland - according to Lil. So, when we go this is what we will do. Now that I have a camera I hope to take some great pictures.
From Saturday until today the weather has been cloudless - its really beautiful. The temperature gets up to about 23C. Howeve, I thought the day was without even small clouds which normally form during the day. I wonder and I will not be surprised that this is weather modfication. After all, if they can make a day cloudy, or cloudy with chemtrails, they can or should be able to do the opposite.

In the evening I read the manual for the camera. I still have more reading to do.
