Looking Back

Thursday September 4

This morning I had to meet a repairman of the roof at 7am! I showed him what needs to be done. Since I don’t speak Spanish, he said he’ll contact my friend, Mathieu, and tell him the cost, etc.

He came as a recommendation from Matt, as he worked on his roof and did a good job.

Also, a canal has to be dug around the base of the home because there is water coming up from the ground.

I hope this will not be too expensive but it’ll probably cost in the thousands of dollars.

Looking Back

Today (September 4) I opened an email from a travel agency that sells cruise packages. On their web page they have information about marriage at sea. The prices are good and, of course, the location is great.

Looking back, it would have been better off to have our marriage on a cruise ship as it would have saved a lot of problems arranging the marriage and saved problems complying with the stupid laws here. Also, there were the additional costs to my lawyer. Jayne and I would have had our honeymoon right then and there! As it is now, we are still waiting to go on our honeymoon.

The problem in part was, my lawyer didn’t have the foresight in telling me that it would be better to get married as soon as Jayne arrived in April, as it would have saved us a lot of aggravation.

Part of our wedding costs involved inviting our friends – we were glad to share our happy time with them – but if we had to do it all over again we would have opted for the wedding cruise. I’m sure our friends would have understood.

To see what wedding cruise is and the great discounts given on all cruises, to go:
