Wedding Diary

Today my computer crashed! (I’m typing this on my old laptop computer.) It all started yesterday when the phone company came unexpectedly here to fix my phone. I had been without one for a couple of weeks. Monday everything was fine, including the internet. Then Tuesday morning I got on the net and when I went to click on a link that I got in my email it all started. This link is from a big company that I know so I know it was from that email.
What happened was that it slowed my computer down to the point that I could not open or close other programs. This never happened when I took my computer to a wireless café. So, this must be because of my internet service. A virus would not act like this. In fact, a friend of mine who is a computer programmer stopped his service with this company because of things like this.
I hope my computer didn’t crash but I will have to take it to a computer repairman. Then we went to a store that sells material where Jayne bought the material for her dress that’ll be tailor made.
Then we went to the weddings shop to pick up the invitations. We saw that the date was wrong. Then we realize that it was after we dropped off the information that we found out from the British Embassy that the notice of the marriage has to be posted on their wall for 21 days before the wedding.
Now we’ll have to add a notice with the invitation that the date has been changed.
I had already wrote emails to most of the people who will be coming but the invitation will have to be sent, too.
Jayne and I got something to eat at a restaurant across from the street of the hotel that we will be staying at the night before and after the wedding. The room is very nice, but they just serve sandwiches and drinks. In other words, the room is much nicer than the food they serve. I’m glad we went there as we had plans to have dinner there while we stay at the hotel. Now, I see that it would be better to have it at the hotel
The hotel that we’ll be at has breakfast included but lunch and dinner is extra. I had already checked out the dinner price which is $19. The menu looked very nice but the price was high. So now well eat there anyway. After all, it is our wedding and we certainly don’t want to go out on the street where most of the ‘restaurants’ are poor.
From there we went to the tailor and dropped off the material. The cost of the material was $41 and to make the dress is $70. So, for $111 Jayne will have a very nice dress for our wedding.
